Set in your Ways....or Ready for Change?

Years ago I would be a so called "Set in my ways" kind of gal. In my mind I always "thought" I had to keep things and do things in the same manner and in the same routine. I really didn't like change. Little did I know what "change" could do for me mentally, physically, and spiritually! I believe that for the most part, FEAR is what kept me from getting out of my comfort zone and trying new things. It was the lack of "knowing" the possibilities that kept me in the same auto pilot for so long. For me, I didn't know the possible outcome of "change" because I couldn't let my mind wonder long enough to imagine a beautiful outcome. I would think about something and the negative monkey chatter or the fear of failure would creep into my mind and before I knew it, I had already talked myself out of the possibility of something better, more prosperous, more exciting!
Boy have I changed since those days! Today, I live for imagination, for excitement, for change, and for all things better! I live a very "nice" life, I have to admit. But I believe if I hadn't opened my mind to change, I would still be in auto pilot day in and day out! I would have never been able to explore the thought of something better for myself or for my family.
I have found through imagination, envisioning my ideal scene, and setting goals for myself, that I am allowing change to come to me. The key here is that when you imagine, envision, and set goals, you let your mind do what it needs to do in order for you to have the things that you are imagining, envisioning, and setting for yourself. With out inviting change, you don't come across the "ideas" to let it all play out for you. As you imagine what you want your life to ultimately be, your mind will give you ideas to get there. This will require you to change your daily routine sometimes. Sometimes an opportunity will come your way, this could be a sign for you, allowing you to take the steps in order to let your ideal scene come to pass. If you don't take the opportunities for the lack of confidence, trust, or maybe you just think it is to much of a change, then you are not allowing your thoughts and desires to manifest for you. It all has to start in your mind with an imagination, a thought, a goal. Then you just let your mind take you where you need to go, to get you where you ultimately want to be!
Your mind is a powerful thing you have! It is more powerful than your physical strength. You can use your mind to get you anything you desire in life. And when I say anything, I truly mean anything!

Be good to yourself and learn how to have all that you desire!

Will You Be Able to Enjoy the Summer with Your Kids?

For most kids, another school year has ended. No more studying, no more getting up early to catch the school bus and no more homework! It's the best time of the year for most kids. They are FREE to be a kid and enjoy all that summer has to offer! Time for swimming, camping, having friends over, or maybe just enjoying having nothing to do all day. But are your kids able to enjoy their time off school or are they going to spend it at a babysitters, or G-Ma's house, or maybe they stay home alone while you are at work. If they are teenagers, I wonder what they really spend their day doing when you aren't there to monitor their activity.
Having my own home business does allow me to watch my children grow and being able to spend time with them. But most importantly my children, I feel, are able to open up to me more because I am with them on a daily basis to realize when things are bothering them. I am in constant interaction with them. I am not a weekend Mom, but a Mom that can spend time with them instead of rushing off to work every day or coming home from work at night and having a million household chores to do, that I don't have time to make for my children.
There is only so many hours in the day to get so many things done. We are all given the same amount of hours and the same amount of days in the week. For most people with a full time job, this means that any time spent with their children or spouse is done on the weekends. This is just 2 full days. And the few hours left in the day after they get home from work. This isn't much quality time with the people that you love so much!
What if you could change that. If you could paint a picture of what your life would be like being home all day with your loved ones, what would you be doing with them? Would you finally get to know more about your kids? Would your marriage be better if you could finally have quality time with the one you love? What does your picture look like?
I can probably guess that your picture does not include a boss, a job sight, day care, or a paycheck that does not cover enough at the end of the week!

Name Brand or Generic?

How many of you skimp on Name Brand and go for the Generic?
There are lots of generic products that claim they are just as good as name brand, yet are they really? And if you are skimping are you really getting more for your money? Here's a few things that I have realized about generic......
Generic in general means "cheaper." However take for instance some products that are generic that you tend to use more of in the end. Which results in spending just as much or maybe more than if you would of went with the name brand to begin with.
Generic sometimes just doesn't get the job done the first time. Take for instance laundry detergent. Have you ever washed a load of clothes and they just didn't get clean enough the first time? So, you then re-washed them, using more water, more detergent, and more importantly more of your time when another load could of went in!
Another example is generic paint! Have you ever bought generic paint and had to paint the wall or other item over and over again? If you would of went with the "name brand" your job would of been done a lot sooner and the results usually are more appealing!
My other top example is clothing! Generic or "off brand" clothing does not last! They do not hold up to wear and tear nor do they stand the test of being ran through the washer over and over again. The seams, buttons, zippers, etc. do not stand the test of time! Most generally name brand will stand the test of time and the only reason to get rid of the item is due to the fact that it is out of "style."
My point here is the simple fact that when you "choose" to buy generic, you are getting what you pay for! And 9 times out of 10 you will be spending more money and more of your precious time!

Here's another thing to consider on generic.....
The same thing applies when considering a home business or finding how to make more money in your life. Are you going to keep investing in the "generic" forms of online money scams where yes, it may be cheap, but in the long run you will be investing little monies here and there that add up quickly and you will be investing a lot of your time learning the "ins and outs" of the right formula to make it a go! And that is if the "company" or "product" is really legit and not just another scam out there! Or will you invest on the "name brand?" A company that is reliable, legit, proven, and more importantly has stood the test of time, with results to prove their leadership and integrity?
You should not skimp on products or life! You deserve to have "name brand!"

"I GOT CALLED THE "B" WORD!!!

With the business that I run from home, I have had several "non believers" come into my life. But the worst one yet, came from an e-mail today. Now you have to understand that I do not in any way "hunt" people down to be a part of my company. I do my own advertising and they have the option to contact me if they are interested in what I have to offer them!

As I checked my e-mail this morning I had an e-mail from a guy that started out saying I was a B#@!@#! WOW, what a way to start an e-mail. As I read on he called me a few other names, the "C" word the "W" word, and some words that I really had no idea what they meant. He goes on to tell me that I am so ignorant that he is sure I have not finished high school. At the end of the e-mail he signs off by saying, "I hope you have a F#$%&#* good day." After reading this, I sat back in my chair, and asked myself why in the world would anyone write such horrible things about me yet has no idea who I am? It was quite apparent why................

There are 2 kinds of people in this world, people that are happy and people who are not. The happy people are eager, ambitious, and ready to help others in anyway they can. They reach out a hand to those in need and never ask for a pat on the back. They smile and laugh as much as possible. When things get a little rough, they stay positive and know the best is yet to come. Happy people are just genuine from their smiles, to their generosity. A happy person never gets pleasure in putting someone else down just to make them feel better. A happy person lives to make others HAPPY!!

It's obvious this man was in dire need of some happiness in his life. I could have very well e-mailed him back and tell him what a horrible person he was and he is just causing more havoc in his life by slashing out on me. However, I did not. Instead, I just simply said a prayer for him that he will soon find peace and harmony in his life and left it at that!

We all want things in life. Whether it's money, happiness, success, etc. Just remember there is the right way to achieve all of these and there is a wrong way. Choose peace and harmony in your life and I promise God will reward you in more ways than you can imagine!

"Every Day is a Snow Day"

As I listened to the news before bed last night, all the discussion was about the "great" snow fall we would receive in Ohio. They were talking about how to prepare for your commute to work and what to expect, etc. I didn't think to much of it as I knew I would not have to travel in the mess when I started my day.


However, when I awoke this morning to the news, it had really hit me to how many people were out in this mess just trying to get to work. And some just didn't make it as they were in accidents. Then, there were the ones who opted to stay at home and not get paid for not making it to work. Who were also the ones who really couldn't afford to take a day off. As they stay home today, they will also be staying home tomorrow as we are going to get hit with some major ice on top of the snow.


I thought to myself how lucky I was to be able to stay at home, and work my business in my cozy warm house. I am lucky to be able to go outside and play with the kids, build snowmen, and pull them around on their sleighs with the ATV.


Then it hit me, I'm not lucky. To be home and have a home based business was a choice I made. It has nothing to do with luck, by chance, but a "choice."


How many people sit at home worrying about taking a day off. A "snow day" they can't get excited about because they really needed to go to work today. Or the ones who tried to get to work, because they couldn't afford to stay home, and was one of the people who got in an accident. Now they have a car repair on their hands along with not being able to get to work. And not to mention the parents who went to work, but their kids were off school, so they had to scramble to find someone to watch them. There is an extra cost they weren't anticipating during the work week. So as everyone stresses over the "big snow," I am relieved to know that I am not apart of the "snow kaos."

It has been a great choice for me to decide to start my own home based business. For me and my family, every day is a "Snow Day!"
